Position: Billing Clerk
Location: Fort Worth Specialty Rigging TNT is looking to add experienced full-time Billing Clerk to our growing Branch. Summary: The billing clerk position is accountable for creating invoices and credit memos, issuing them to customers by all necessary means, and updating customer files. As a billing clerk, you must be accurate and reliable in handling accounts and documents. Being good at math and a high degree of organizational ability are essential due to the great amount of financial information. The goal is to contribute to the accurate preparation of bills receivable and safeguard the company's income.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Issue invoices to customers
• Issue monthly customer statements
• Update customer files with issued invoices
• Process credit memos
• Update the customer master file with contact information
• Track exceptions between the shipping log and invoice register
• Enter invoices into customer invoicing web sites
• Submit invoices by electronic data interchange
• Review accuracy of invoices prior to submission by performing various checks
• Ability to understand complex billing.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Provide management with daily status of completed functions.
• Communicate effectively within the company in order to resolve client inquiries.
• Assist team members as needed during peaks.
• Own team projects and assignments.
• May perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
• Develop positive relationships while maintaining customer standards with a focus on problem solving
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of billing experience.
• A minimum of a year experience in billing refineries or construction industries.
• Advanced Accounting degree Preferred.
Skills Required:
• Understanding of law and legal procedures relating to accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel,
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work productively and effectively in a team setting.
• Focused on process improvement and achieving team and Company goals.
• Must be a self-starter
• Must be able to work under little or no supervisor and still achieve goal.
